STOP PAINFUL TMJ HEADACHES
If you are experiencing jaw muscle soreness, headaches or migraines, or difficulty opening your mouth, you could be suffering from a temporomandibular joint disorder. Your TMJ stands for your temporomandibular joints. Your temporomandibular joints are the joints you feel when you open and shut your mouth or move your jaw from side to side. Overuse of these joints can result in a TMD or temporomandibular dysfunction.
TMDs can be caused by genetics but are most typically caused by bruxism or teeth grinding. Frequently grinding your teeth can put stress and extra pressure on your TMJ, causing the joints to become overused and resulting in jaw pain, chronic headaches, and other issues.
